Argile Créative harnesses the power of clay for both everyday use and decorative purposes. In his studio at the Espace des métiers d’art, Éric Favre creates ceramics that are both practical and evocative, designed as much for the table as for the eye. Here, the focus is on culinary and ornamental ceramics, with pieces that showcase the artisan’s craft without losing sight of their practical purpose: baking dishes, tableware, cider mugs and coffee cups. The workshop draws on a rich variety of materials and techniques. Earthenware or stoneware, coloured or natural clays, throwing, modelling, stamping, casting: each creation is the result of genuine craftsmanship and a deep engagement with the material. Among the techniques highlighted, the Japanese technique of ‘nériage’, also known as Neri komi, lends a distinctive visual signature and enhances the character of certain pieces.
